What is the meaning behind the
name Nu-Wine?
Joel 3:18 “and it shall come to
pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills
shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters,
and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the lord, and shall
water the valley of shittim.”
What inspired you to pursue a
career as an emcee?
I got shot man, when I returned to
the streets, God told me to reach out. The only way I could do that was
rapping, the only way I could support my family was rapping man.
How did you hook up with
Grapetree records?
Like everyone else man, Knolly was
slangin Jesus and he hustled us right on in.
Tell me about Grapetree and the rights to
your album, Tha Bloody 5th.
My contract got "lost".
How did wine-o music originate?
When I found out Grapetree wasn’t
paying, I had to make moves. Like I said I have to support my family.
Your upcoming release is entitled
Rated R, what will fans anticipates on this release?
We taking it to the next level
man, nobody wants to drink with me. None of these cats are ready to drink
the new wine...
Many Christians judge you and
questions your roots in Christ, what would you like to say to those people?
Matthew 7:1 “Judge not, that ye be
not judged.” besides that, these people still by my records. They buy them
so they can talk bad bout me. I think I have sold more independent records
then any other Christian cat out there. Judge that.
